Echo echo….

I see the last post in here was in January, so allow me to blow the dust off the journal with a fresh post. If anyone is interested in some pictures from past Gulf Wars…I know two gentlemen with wonderful pictures from past wars. One is Lord Ursus at http://ursus.smugmug.com/ and Lord Skorri at http://skorri.smugmug.com

The air is getting cooler and I am looking forward to going to my third Gulf War! Maybe this time I will walk around the whole site and see everything. Hope to see you there!

This Year
Well, I can't go to Gulf War this year. I can't say that I'm sad about it though. I'm actually thrilled! I got a new job! Next year, I will be able to go AND I will actually be able to not stress out about finances!!!

Updated Schedule - Al Mahala at Gulf Wars

The updated schedule for Gulf Wars Al Mahala is online and ready for viewing and input.   Note that all areas in red are still very much in need of volunteers.  Please note that classes are not the only activity allowed - demos, performances or other creative activities representing M.E. and associated regions would be most welcome.

Please check to verify (if you have volunteered to teach or give a presentation).  Please let me know if there are any errors or omissions, such as spelling of your name, or title for your class/session.  Also, if you have previously told me a specific scheduled day or time to avoid when scheduling you, please remind me again if the schedule conflicts.

Please  view the schedule either by visiting the Gulf Wars website:  www.gulfwars.org  (www dot gulfwars dot org) and connecting to the Middle Eastern link, and then to the Al Mahala page,  or through either of these links:  www.almahala.notlong.com    (www dot almahala dot notlong dot com) or   http://www.shadowcon.game-host.org/al_mahala/

Please note:  you must click TWICE on the schedule itself to get maximum size for viewing.

Alternately, let me know and I can send the Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet directly to you as an e-mail attachment.

Welcome to the community. I hope that this one grows to be as useful as pennsic_war has been for people.

Use this as a way to communicate with friends. Use it for ideas and tips. Use it for pictures!

Gulf is coming up in 5 short months. What are you doing to prepare? What's the one camping item you consider to be the life saver of an event? What would you recommend to a first time War-monger?
